Although, the petitioner has prayed for seeking direction against the respondents to grant promotion to the petitioner on the post of Assistant Development Officers/Additional Development Officers, yet during the course of argument, it was submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that for seeking similar relief in Appeal No. 1661/2021 has already been filed by the petitioner before Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Tribunal, Jaipur in which, although, notices were issued to the respondents in September, 2021 yet till date, the appeal has not been decided and in the meanwhile, the respondents have proceeded further in [2026:RJ-JP:20189] (2 of 2) [CW-8571/2026] granting promotions to the persons allegedly junior to the petitioner. 2. In the aforesaid circumstances at this stage, on instructions, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner would be satisfied, in case, direction is given to Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Tribunal to decide the appeal No. 1661/2021 filed by the petitioner expeditiously. 3. In view of limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court deems it just and proper to dispose of this writ petition with direction to Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Tribunal, Jaipur to take up and consider Appeal No. 1661/2021 at the earliest and to decide the same expeditiously. 4. This writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits of the case. 6.
