Hon’ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.
Mr. Nikhil Bhatt, Advocate, i/b Mr. Dushyant Mainali, Advocate for the petitioner.
Mr. Narayan Datt, Standing Counsel, for the State.
Mr. Rajendra Arya, Advocate, i/b Mr. Neeraj Garg, Advocate for the UPNL.
(2) According to petitioners, they were engaged through outsourcing to discharge duties as Safai Karamchari in 2020 and they discharged duties as such till 2023 and thereafter their engagement was discontinued. By means of this writ petition, petitioners have sought direction to the authorities to give reappointment to them against a Group ‘D’ post.
(3) Learned State Counsel submits that writ petition is misconceived inasmuch as engagement of petitioners was discontinued three years ago and they have approached this Court at this belated stage, seeking reengagement. He, however, submits that if petitioners make representation to the competent authority, then prayer for reengagement can be considered by the competent authority.
(4) Writ petition is, accordingly,
disposed of with liberty to petitioners to make representation to the competent authority. If they make representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within eight weeks thereafter.
(Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.)
