According to the petitioner, the assignment order was passed in favour of the petitioner on 05.03.2018 and eversince the date of the assignment, he is in possession of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. The petitioner now seeks for updating the same in the revenue records maintained by the respondents. The petitioner had given a representation on 19.06.2025 to the respondents for the aforesaid purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered by the respondents, till date, this writ petition has been filed. 3. Mr. C. Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner’s representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 13696 of 2026 petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representation. 6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representation dated 19.06.2025, seeking for updating the assignment order dated 05.03.2018 passed by the fourth respondent in favour of the petitioner in the revenue records maintained by the third respondent for the land morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner and after hearing all the necessary parties. 7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
