This Public Interest Litigation Petition has been filed with an assertion that at property No. L-48 Corner, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi – 110 008, certain illegal constructions have already been made and further that illegal constructions are still going on. 3. Mr. Manu Chaturvedi learned Standing Counsel representing Respondent No. 1 / Municipal Corporation of Delhi (“MCD”) has tendered certain documents which are taken on record. The copy of the said documents has also been provided to the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and also to the learned Counsel representing Respondent No. 2 / Sehgal Hardware and Construction Work. A perusal of the aforesaid documents shows that properties No. L-47 and L-48 were booked on 02.02.2025 under Section 343 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957 (“Act”) and thereupon, the order of demolition has also been passed on 20.02.2026. The said documents also contain a notice informing the owner / occupier of the properties No. at L-47 and L-48 in Double Story in West Patel Nagar, New Delhi requiring submission of the reply to the show cause notice under Sections 343 and 344(1) of the Act. Since necessary action has already been initiated, we dispose of the Writ Petition with a direction to the MCD to take the said action initiated in respect of the properties No. at L-47 and L-48 to its logical end. 5. It is needless to observe that the action to be taken in respect of the aforesaid properties shall be strictly in accordance with law and since the documents provided today contain complete information about the booking of the property and demolition order etc. have been handed over to Respondent No. 2, the documents will be treated to be valid notice so far as Respondent No. 2 is concerned. 6.
