According to petitioner, her husband, who was registered as Construction Worker with the Uttarakhand Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, passed away on 22.09.2020; since the benefit available to dependant family members of Construction Worker has not been granted to the petitioner, therefore, petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following relief:- (i) To issue a writ order and direction in the nature of Mandamus directing and commanding the Respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for releasing Rs. 3,00000/- in favour of the petitioner under the Building and other construction workmen (Regulation of employment and conditions of service) scheme without any technical objection. Having regard to the relief sought, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met if petitioner is permitted to make representation before the Secretary of the Uttarakhand Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting the petitioner to make representation before the Secretary, Uttarakhand Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. If she makes such representation within ten days from today, Secretary concerned shall look into the matter and pass appropriate order, as per law, within eight weeks thereafter.
