JUSTICE SUNITHA GANDHAM CRIMINAL REVISION CASE NO.168 OF 2015 ORDER: This Criminal Revision Case has been filed aggrieved by the judgment dated 31.01.2014 in Crl.A.No.270 of 2012 passed by the learned Special Sessions Judge-cum-IV Additional Sessions Judge, Tirupati, Chittoor District, whereby the judgment dated 12.08.2009 in C.C.No.625 of 2003 passed by the learned II Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Tirupati, was confirmed. 2. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor filed a report along with photocopies of the death certificate, Aadhaar Card and other relevant documents, and submitted that the name of the accused is S. Ameer and that, instead of mentioning the same, his name is mentioned as “Sameer” in the death certificate. He further submitted that, since the sole accused died, the Criminal Revision Case may be dismissed as abated. 3. This Court has compared the photocopies of the documents and other particulars of the accused. 4 4. The revision petitioner/accused, namely, S. Ameer, died on 02.11.2025. The offences involved in this case are under Sections 304-A, 337, 338 and 279 IPC. The Trial Court convicted the accused and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of two years for the offence under Section 304-A IPC, rigorous imprisonment for a period of six months for the offence under Section 338 IPC, rigorous imprisonment for a period of three months for the offence under Section 337 IPC and rigorous imprisonment for a period of three months for the offence under Section 279 IPC. The said judgment was confirmed by the learned Special Sessions Judge-cum-VI Additional District and Sessions Judge, Tirupati, vide judgment dated 31.01.2014. No fine was imposed. 5. In view of the death of the sole accused/revision petitioner, and having regard to the submissions made by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Revision Case is dismissed as abated.
