Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 304 days and as charge-sheet has been submitted, further detention of the petitioner is not warranted, as such, the petitioner may be granted bail. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the deceased being brother of one of the accused was staying at the same house. The accused persons intended to portray that the deceased committed suicide. After post- mortem examination it only revealed that the same is homicidal as there was abdominal injuries as well as other ante mortem injuries. It has also been contended that one of the accused person is still absconding for which there is a delay. Having considered the heinousness of the offence, at this 2 stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, CRM(M)629 of 2026 is dismissed.
