The present applicant-Nafees Khan @ Raju, S/o Yameen Khan is praying for regular bail in reference to first information report dated 17.03.2026 bearing FIR No.0132 of 2026, P.S. Rudrapur, which was lodged against three persons, namely, Rajesh Kumar Jain, Sandeep Kumar and Sharukh for the offences punishable under Section 318(4), 336(3), 338, 340(2) of BNS, 2023 read with Section 63 and Section 65 of Copyright Act, 1957. 4. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is innocent and has been falsely implicated and at the most as per the allegations as alleged the offences under the Copyright Act are made out for which maximum punishment is three years and the present applicant is languishing in jail since 04.04.2026. He submits that there UKHC010071032026 2026:UHC:5107 is no recovery of any incriminating article, counterfeit material, machinery etc. from the applicant and other co- accused have been granted interim protection by the Coordinate Bench in WPCRL No.922 of 2026 & connected petitions vide order dated 16.06.2026 and there is only one case against the applicant in which he is already bailed out. 5. On the other hand, learned AGA for the State have not disputed that some of the other co-accused persons have been granted interim protection by the Coordinate Bench. 6. After hearing the arguments of learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegation, as alleged in the FIR and the fact that the present applicant is languishing in jail since 04.04.2026, this Court is of the view that applicant is entitled to be released on bail. 7. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merit of the case, the bail application is allowed. 8. Let the applicant-Nafees Khan @ Raju, S/o Yameen Khan, be released on bail on his executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties each of the like amount to the satisfaction of the court concerned.
