After arguing for a while when the learned counsel for the petitioner was confronted with the maintainability of instant writ petition, submits that he would feel satisfied if the instant writ petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to the respondent No. 1 to decide the appeal expeditiously which has been preferred by the petitioner way back on 14.05.2023 and has not been decided till date, which has adversely affected the rights of the petitioner. 2. On the asking of the Court, Ms. Rekha Wangnoo, learned Government Advocate enters appearance on behalf of respondents and is not averse to the disposal of the instant writ petition at this stage or else to the submission made by the counsel for the petitioner. However, she submits that the appeal of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with the rules and as per law occupying the field. 3. Heard learned counsel for the parties at length and perused the material on record. 4. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the very threshold as an innocuous prayer has been made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the same is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.1 to decide the appeal alleged to have been preferred by the petitioner on 14.05.2023, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order along with copy of writ petition and the annexures appended thereto, strictly in conformity with the rules and as per law. 5. Needless to say, that no expression of opinion on the merits of the case has been expressed while disposing of the instant petition. 6. Writ petition is disposed of in the manner indicated above.
