JUSTICE JAYANT BANERJI) When the matter was listed on 09.03.2026, the following order was passed: “A memo dated 12.12.2025 is on record. However, the second set of this memo does not bear the signature of the appellant on record. Moreover, this memo purports to enclose a joint compromise petition, which is not in original, but it is a photocopy. As such, this memo is rejected. Ms. Jahnavi M., the junior counsel appearing for the advocate on record requests an adjournment to enable her to file a fresh memo enclosing the original of the compromise petition and also to file the second set of that memo to be filed. As prayed, list the matter for 'Dismissal' on 23.03.2026.” 2. Today, the learned counsel for the appellant states that the joint compromise petition was filed in Civil Petition No.176/2025, Sri. James Prajwal and Smt. Joyce Hanna, which petition came to be disposed of by means of the judgment dated 27.10.2025, whereby the compromise petition was placed on record and the Civil Petition disposed of. Therein the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16144-DB MFA No. 2545 of 2024 Court had noticed that the compromise petition depicts the terms of the settlement. 3. We have perused the order dated 27.10.2025 passed in Civil Petition No.176/2025. The joint compromise petition reflects that the parties have agreed to withdraw their respective cases against each other including the aforesaid M.F.A No.2545/2024. The last sentence of clause 6 of the compromise petition reads that “Any other case filed by each of the parties in any court of law shall stand withdrawn by this Compromise Petition”. 4.
