This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 in respect of Special (NDPS) Case No.45/2023, under Section 21(b)/29 of NDPS Act, 1985 pending in the court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Kamrup, Amingaon. 3. On 11.05.2026, the petitioner Bhaskarjyoti Das was absent in the court without any steps. Therefore, the trial court directed issuance of Non-Bailable Warrant of Arrest against him. He was arrested and when he applied for bail, his bail application was rejected by the trial court. 4. The petitioner submits that he lost contact with his lawyer and that is the reason why his lawyer could not take steps on his behalf on 11.05.2026. 5. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsels for both sides. 6. The prayer of the petitioner is allowed. 7. Accordingly, the petitioner Bhaskarjyoti Das shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Addl. Sessions Judge– cum-Special Judge, Kamrup, Amingaon. 8. The petitioner is directed to be careful in future and not to repeat any such mistakes.
