After arguing for a while when the learned counsel for the petitioners was confronted with maintainability of instant petition as disputed questions of facts are involved in this petition, submits that he would feel satisfied if the instant writ petition is disposed at this stage with a direction to the respondent No. 2 to decide the application which the petitioners have preferred way back on 13.11.2025, for rectification and modification of the legal heir certificate within some reasonable period. 2. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Bikramdeep Singh, learned Deputy Advocate General enters appearance on behalf of respondents and is not averse to the disposal of the instant writ petition at this stage or else to the submission made by the counsel for the petitioners. However, he submits that the application of the petitioners would be considered in accordance with the rules and as per law occupying the field. 3. Heard learned counsel for the parties at length and perused the material on record. 4. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the very threshold as an innocuous prayer has been made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and the same is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to decide the application alleged to have been filed by the petitioners on 13.11.2025 within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order along with copy of writ petition and the annexures appended thereto, strictly in conformity with the rules and as per law. 5.
