The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Narayanpur PS Case No.6 of 2026, for offence registered under section 80/3(5) of BNS, 2023, pending in court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamtara. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner no.1 is mother-in-law and petitioner no.2 is grand mother-in-law of the deceased who is aged about 70 years. He next submits that there are general and omnibus allegations of demand of dowry against the entire family members. He then submits that the petitioners have not instigated and have not taken any steps and the death has occurred due to asphyxia due to hanging. He next submits that the deceased has committed suicide, however, Sections 80/ 3(5) of BNS, 2023 have been added. 2026:JHHC:12050 2 4. Learned State counsel opposes prayer and submits that allegations are there of demand of dowry and torture. 5. Considering that there are general and omnibus allegations against the entire family members and the petitioner no.2 is grand- mother-in-law of the deceased who is aged about 70 years and petitioner no.1 is mother-in-law of the deceased, and cause of death is said to be asphyxia due to hanging, and in the attending facts and circumstances of the instant case, both the petitioners, above named are, hereby, directed to surrender before learned court within two weeks from today, and learned court shall release both the petitioners, above named, on such terms and conditions as well as sureties as the learned court may deem fit and proper. 6.
