2. This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of pre-arrest bail to the accused/petitioner, namely, Sri Bijit Das in connection with Mukalmua P.S. Case No.20/2026.
3. Vide an order dated 23.02.2026, the Coordinate Bench of this Court, in the interim, has passed an order directing that no coercive action be taken against the accused/applicant by the police of Adabari Outpost under Mukalmua Police Station.
4. It is seen that when the interim order was passed, the aforesaid case was not registered by the police.
5. Mr. D. P. Goswami, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State submits that in terms of the aforesaid order dated 23.02.2026, the accused/applicant has, in fact, appeared before the I/O and got his statement recorded and is fully cooperating with the investigation.
6. Mr. J. Payeng, the learned counsel appearing for the accused/applicant submits that since the accused/applicant is cooperating with the investigation, he should be allowed to go on a pre-arrest bail.
7. Taking into account the aforesaid submissions made by the
learned counsel appearing for the respective parties, this Court is of the considered opinion that the accused/applicant should be allowed to go on pre-arrest bail on furnishing of the bail bond of Rs.20,000/-
Page No.# 3/3 (Rupees twenty thousand) only with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer in connection with Mukalmua P.S. Case No.20/2026 subject to the condition that the accused/applicant shall cooperate with the investigation.
8. In terms of the aforesaid direction, the instant bail application stands disposed of.
