In this writ application, the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members, which is being curtailed by the respondent nos. 4 to 6 without any reason. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the brother of the petitioner is wanted by the police and for extracting information, the petitioner and his family members are being harassed by the police personnel of three police stations. It has been submitted that regarding the high-handedness of the police, representation has been submitted before the Superintendent of Police, Rural, Ranchi but the same has not been acted upon. Regard being had to the limited prayer made in this writ application, the same stands disposed of with the liberty to the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police, Rural, Ranchi (respondent no.3) by filing a fresh representation and if the same is filed, the respondent no.3 is directed to look into the matter and act accordingly.
