Petitioner runs an advertising agency. According to him, he erected hoardings and unipoles at different places within territorial limits of Zila Panchayat, Almora, however respondent no. 4 is making unreasonable demand for permitting the hoardings to remain. 6. Mr. Yogesh Pacholia, learned counsel appearing for Zila Panchayat submits that Zila Panchayat has granted contract to respondent no. 4 for recovery of license fee from advertisers. He submits that if petitioner has any grievance regarding unreasonable demand by respondent no. 4, then the petitioner can UKHC010097942026 2026:UHC:5018 deposit the license fee in the office of Zila Panchayat. He, however, submits that a complaint was received that some of the hoardings/unipoles erected by petitioner are very close to motor roads or highways, which are not as per the byelaws of Zila Panchayat, therefore, petitioner will have to shift such hoardings and unipoles to a safe distance from the highway. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the Zila Panchayat. Along with the representation, he will deposit the license fee, as prescribed by the Zila Panchyat. The competent authority in Zila Panchayat shall inform the petitioner regarding the hoardings, which do not meet the requirement of the byelaws, and petitioner shall make arrangements for shifting of such hoardings and unipoles within two weeks after receiving such information.
