JUSTICE SOUMITRA SAIKIA ORDER 01.06.2026 Heard Mr. S Borthakur, learned Senior counsel assisted by Mr. S Dey, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Ms. S Baruah, learned CGC appears on behalf of Mr. RKD Choudhury, learned DSGI for the Union of India. The petitioners are husband and wife and are serving as Constable (GD) Page No.# 3/3 under CRPF, Guwahati. They are currently posted at Group Centre, Guwahati. The petitioner No. 2 suffered some medical ailments and requires regular medical treatment including a surgical procedure. By the last order dated 25.05.2026, the learned DSGI was permitted to obtain instructions as to whether the petitioners can be accommodated within a certain unit to facilitate the surgical procedure stated to be required to be undergone by the petitioner No. 2 and the time period for which they can be accommodated. Today Ms. S Baruah, learned CGC appearing on behalf of the learned DSGI submits on instructions that the petitioners can be accommodated in Guwahati Group Centre for a further period of two months from today within which the petitioner No. 2 will be required to undergo the surgical procedure if so advised medically and thereafter they will have to proceed for their respective posts on transfer. This submission of the learned CGC is accepted by the learned senior counsel for the petitioner and accordingly, in view of the submissions recorded on behalf of the learned DSGI, the writ petition stands closed. The respondents are directed to accommodate the petitioners for a further period of two months from today and within which the respondent No. 2 may undergo the surgical procedure if so advised medically. After the expiry of the period of two months, the writ petitioners will proceed for their respective places of posting. With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
