09.04.2026 Court No.28 Item No.94 tbsr Reject CRM (A) 820 of 2026 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Sadaipur P.S. Case No.203 of 2025 dated 07.10.2025 under Sections 85/109/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023. And In the matter of: Sk. Lalbabu @ Sekh Lalbabu & Anr. ….Petitioners. Mr. Kunal Ganguly …for the petitioners Ms. Sujata Das Mr. Ratul Ghosh … for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners are the parents-in-law of the alleged victim. The marriage between the couple took place about four years ago. The principal accused, being the husband, was arrested and was thereafter granted bail. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. She relies on the statements of witnesses including the statement of the victim recorded before the learned Magistrate. According to the victim, the petitioners and the husband poisoned her. The medical report shows that it was a case of pesticides poison. It appears that, earlier the anticipatory bail application of the married sister-in-law of the alleged victim was turned down by this Court on 24.02.2026 in CRM(A) 460 of 2026. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. 2 The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
