Learned counsel for respondents submits that pursuant to the direction issued by this Court in its order dated 12.02.2025 passed in WPS No. 5890/2024, which is subject matter of the contempt petition, decision on the claim fo petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment has been taken and the claim of petitioner has been rejected vide order dated 28.05.2025 and hence order under contempt has been complied with. 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that till today petitioner has not been served with the order deciding claim of petitioner. Copy of order is handed over to him during course of arguments. Be that as it may, copy of order dated 28.05.2025 which is placed before this Court for perusal would show that taking note of the order dated 12.02.2025, the District Education Officer has passed the order rejecting the claim of petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment. 4. In view of above facts of the case, in the opinion of this Court, respondents/ contemnors have complied with the order passed by this Court in WPS No. 5890/2024 on 12.02.2025 and therefore contempt proceeding initiated against respondents is dropped, notice issued to respondents stands discharged and the contempt petition accordingly stands closed.
