Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has, inter alia, prayed for the following reliefs:- “i) That the impugned order dated November, 2013 (Annexure P-3) passed by the Selection Committee whereby the wrong and illegal selection of respondent No.5 has been upheld may kindly be quashed and set 1Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:6183 aside as the respondent No.5 was not at all eligible for appointment as Anganwari Worker in Anganwari Centre, Darbathu-2, in the interest of justice and fair play. ii) That the respondents may kindly be directed to give appointment to the petitioner as Anganwari worker in Anganwari Center, Darbathu-2, Tehsil Sadar, District Mandi, H.P.” 2. When this case was taken up for consideration today, learned counsel for respondent No.5 pointed out that the petition otherwise has lost its efficacy as the petitioner now stands married and she is not residing in the feeder area of the Anganwari Centre, Darbathu-2, Tehsil Sadar, District Mandi, H.P. 3. In light of the fact that this could not be controverted by the learned counsel for the petitioner, as obviously the petition has lost its efficacy, the proceedings are closed, without adjudication on merits of the case.
