Mr. Prakash Chandra, Advocate for respondent no. 4. 4. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:- “I. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Certiorari quashing the order dated 14.5.2026 (Annexure-5, page no. 36) issued by Settlement Officer Consolidation Roorkee Haridwar, letter dated 15.5.2026 (Annexure-6, page no. 37 to 38) issued by Settlement Officer Consoldiation Roorkee Haridwar and letter dated 15.5.2026 (Annexure-7 page 39 to 40) issued by the Joint Magistrate Roorkee District Haridwar. II. Issue a writ, order or direction restraining the respondent authorities from conducting demarcation and not to disturb possession of petitioner from property in question chak numbers 265, 266 and 404 situated at Village Nagla Imarti Paragna and Tahsil Roorkee district Haridwar till the finalization of disputes before consolidation and civil court regarding property in question.” 5. It transpires that respondent no. 4 moved an application before the District Magistrate, Haridwar for measurement of his chak, which was referred to the Consolidation Officer and the UKHC010087172026 2026:UHC:4951 Consolidation Officer, vide endorsement dated 15.05.2026 directed for measuring the chak and for submitting a report. 6. Petitioner has challenged the said order passed by Consolidation Officer, by contending that he has filed a revision against order passed by Settlement Officer, Consolidation and the said revision is pending before Deputy Director, Consolidation and is numbered as 35/2020-21. 7. Learned State Counsel, on instructions submits that pursuant to the order passed by Consolidation Officer, the chak of the petitioner was measured, however, possession has not been handed over to anyone. 8. Having regard to the facts of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Revisional Court/ Deputy Director, Consolidation to make endeavour to hear and decide the Revision No. 35/2020-21 (Farman Ali Vs. State and others), as early as possible, but not later than six months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order. For a period of six months or till decision in the pending revision, whichever is earlier, status quo as regards possession, shall be maintained.
