For the Respondents: Mr. Rajan Kahol, Additional Advocate General with Mr. Ravi Chauhan and Mr. Anish Banshtu, Deputy Advocate Generals. ____________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, Judge(oral): Precisely, the grouse of the petitioner as has been highlighted in the petition and further canvassed by learned counsel for the petitioner, is that though in terms of judgment passed by Hon'ble Apex Court in Civil Appeal No.1595 of 2025, titled State of Himachal Pradesh and others vs. Surajmani and others arising from SLP(c) No.23016 of 2023, decided on 06.02.2025 petitioner herein has been granted work charge status w.e.f. 01.01.2004 after completion of eight years on notional basis, but till date, neither pay of the petitioner has been re-fixed nor benefit of increment, if any, has been extended. 2. Having regard to the nature of the order proposed to be passed in the instant proceedings, this Court sees no reason to call for reply on behalf of the respondents, who are otherwise represented 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 by Mr. Rajan Kahol, learned Additional Advocate General. Learned Additional Advocate General fairly states that since careful perusal of order dated 08.10.2025 placed on record clearly reveals that petitioner has been already granted work charge status w.e.f.01.01.2004 on completion of eight years by Superintending Engineer, 11th Circle, HPPWD, Rampur Bushahr, necessary orders with regard to pay fixation are required to be passed. He states that afore order, if not already passed, shall be passed expeditiously. 3. In view of the above, nothing remains to be adjudicated in the instant petition and accordingly, same is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to ensure that orders of pay fixation of the petitioner are passed expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks and thereafter, consequential benefits, if any, on account of grant of work charge status vide order dated 08.10.2025, if not already released, shall also be released within afore period.
