By the instant writ petition, petitioner is praying for the following relief: “i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned FIR lodged by respondent no. 3 on 10.02.2026 registered as FIR No. 74 of 2026 for the offences punishable under Section 3, 5, 11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, Police Station – Bhagwanpur, District - Haridwar. ii. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 1 and 2 not to arrest the petitioner and not to take any coercive measure against the petitioner in pursuance to the impugned FIR dated 10.02.2026 registered as FIR No. 74 of 2026 for the offences punishable under Section 3, 5, 11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, Police Station – Bhagwanpur, District – Haridwar.” 4. After arguing at length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is ready to surrender before the court concerned but due to Ramzan, he may be given some protection till such time. 5. State Counsel has no objection to it. 6. In such view of the matter, the instant petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court concerned on or before 25.03.2026 till then no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner.
