Learned counsel for the Maheshtala Municipality submits that he needs to take instructions in the said matter. 3. Considering that water is an essential requirement and the petitioner’s prayer is pending since 22.04.2024, the respondent/Municipality is directed to consider the application dated 22.04.2024 submitted by the petitioner within a period of 30 days from the date of this order on giving an appropriate hearing to the parties and pass a reasoned order in accordance with law. 4. In case the petitioner’s application for water connection is in accordance with law and if the petitioner meets all legal requirements, then water connection be provided within seven days thereafter. 5. The writ application stands disposed of. 6. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of. 7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated. 8.
