ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to regularize the service of the petitioner from 04.03.2003 and consequently extend the benefit of the Old Pension Scheme.
2. The petitioner was appointed as Assistant Professor in fourth respondent College on a temporary basis on 04.03.2003 in the place of Dr.A.Kaja Mohideen, who was under suspension on 21.02.2003 and later compulsorily retired with effect from 19.09.2003. According to the petitioner, he is entitled to be treated as regularly appointed from 04.03.2003. Recommendations to that effect were also made by the second and third respondents, but the same has not be considered by the first respondent.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the matter is now pending consideration before the first respondent and that appropriate orders will be passed. __________ Page2 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. Considering the above submission and taking note of the fact that the matter is pending with the first respondent, the first respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
