Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the complaint of the petitioner dated 13th June, 2024 has not been considered in terms of the direction passed by the Court on 3rd July, 2024. 3. Learned advocate representing the alleged contemnors relies upon a report signed by the Officer- in-Charge, Mathurapur Police Station, Sundarban Police District on January 30, 2026 which mentions that the complaint of the petitioner dated June 13, 2024 was duly acted upon. 4. In course of enquiry, preventive action was taken and a prosecution was initiated against the accused persons vide Mathurapur P.S. NCR No.338/24 dated June 7, 2024 under Section 107 Cr.P.C. A broken glass of the window of a room of the petitioner’s house was found but none could state the cause of such damage. 2 5. In compliance of the direction passed by the Court, necessary police protection was provided to the petitioner. On receipt of further complaint from the petitioner, on August 1, 2024 an enquiry was conducted and it was found that the complaint was never lodged before the police with regard to the incident which allegedly occurred on August 1, 2024. 6. On July 30, 2024 on receipt of telephonic compliant of the petitioner, Mathurapur PS GDE No.1788 dated July 30, 2024 was recorded. Preventive action was initiated against the accused persons under Section 126 BNSS vide Mathurapur PS NCR No.430/24 dated July 30, 2024. 7. According to the alleged contemnors, regular steps are taken as and when complaint is received at the police station. 8. On perusal of the document placed before the Court and upon hearing the submission made on behalf of the parties, it appears that the order passed by the Court has been substantially complied with. 9. The contempt application, accordingly, stands disposed of. 10. It will be open for the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law in the event the petitioner is aggrieved by any action or inaction of the police. 3 11.
