B CHETRI BEFORE HONOURABLE MRS. JUSTICE SHAMIMA JAHAN ORDER Date : 01.06.2026 Heard Mr. B. Chetri, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr. B. Gogoi, learned Standing Counsel, Finance Department. By this Interlocutory Application, the petitioner has prayed for modification, alteration and recalling of the order dated 07.04.2026 passed by this Court, by which it was directed that the respondents should comply with the directions passed by this Court by order dated 24.02.2021 on or before 11.05.2026. It was further directed that if the compliance could not be done within the said date, the personal appearance would be directed for the Commissioner and Secretary Department of Finance as well the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Women and Child Development, Assam. It is stated by Mr. B. Gogoi, learned Standing Counsel that order dated 24.02.2021 passed by this Court was looked into and every endeavor was made to comply with the same within the stipulated time but since there are a number of Muster Roll workers, Work Charged employees working in different departments all over the State, the exercise had taken sometime and he assures the Court that by the end of this month, the entire exercise will be finalized and that the relief sought by the petitioner and similarly situated employees pursuant to the Court's order for getting minimum scale of pay would be given to them as per the order stated above. In view of the said assurance, this Court although reluctantly but allows Page No.# 3/3 some time to the respondents to comply with the said order so that a relief can be finally allowed to the petitioner and similarly situated employees.
