This application has been filed under Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023 seeking extension of time to file an appeal. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this Court, vide order dated 02.09.2025, disposed of ACQA No.493/2018 with a direction to the petitioner/complainant to prefer an appeal against the impugned judgment dated 26.09.2018 before the concerned Sessions Judge within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order. He further submits that the petitioner/complainant has been contesting the matter since 2017 and as the file had been PRIYANKA VERMA Digitally signed by PRIYANKA VERMA Date: 2026.04.17 15:34:55 +0530 2 misplaced, he could not file the appeal within the stipulated time. 3. On due consideration and the reasons assigned in the present application, this Court deems it appropriate to grant a further period of 30 days from today to file the appeal before concerned Sessions Court. 4.
