This writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No. 2-Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Jammu to consider the grievance of the petitioners about their purported non-inclusion in the publication of ULB-wise list of Casual Safai Karamcharis despite the fact that the petitioners claim to be in continuing engagement and employment of Municipal Committee, Thanamandi, wherein Serial No. 12 Regular List WP(C) No. 1010/2026 30-odd number of Safai Karamcharis are in engagement out of which six petitioners find themselves excluded from consideration zone for regularization exercise while they are said to be similarly situated as the respondent Nos. 4 to 30 who find themselves in the zone of consideration by reference to Municipal Committee, Thanamandi. 02. The respondent No. 2-Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Jammu is directed to consider the present writ petition as a representation of the petitioners and come forward with a reason bearing consideration order as to whether the grievance of the petitioners genuine and is redressable from his end or is without any basis and liable to be rejected and, if so, then by show of reasons to pass an order to said effect. 03. Copy of this writ petition along with annexures be provided to Mr. Suneel Malhotra, learned GA for the sake of serving as representation to land in the hands of the respondent No. 2-Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Jammu. 04. Needful exercise to be done at the end of the respondent No. 2-Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Jammu by or before 15.05.2026. WP(C) No. 1010/2026 05. A disposal of the present writ petition in this manner shall not prejudice the right of the petitioners to approach this Court in case their grievances remain unaddressed or unredressed as directed at the end of the respondent No. 2-Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Jammu. 06. The present writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of along with connected applications.
