This petition concerns appointments to the post of State Chief Information Commissioner, State Information Commissioners and the constitution of the State Information Commission under the Right to Information Act, 2005. 3. The above issue is pending consideration before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the case of Anjali Bhardwaj & Ors. Vs. Union of India & Ors. [W.P.(C) No. 436 of 2018]. On 27.10.2025, the Hon’ble Supreme Court directed the Chief Secretary, State of Jharkhand to ensure that the pending selection process is completed in all respects within 45 days and a compliance affidavit is filed, failing which, the Hon’ble Supreme Court would be constrained to take appropriate action. 4. Since the Hon’ble Supreme Court is seized of this very issue and 2026:JHHC:11941-DB 2 has been monitoring the entire process, we do not think that it would be proper for us to continue with this Public Interest Litigation. 5.
