GP FOR HIGHER EDUCATION (AP) The Court made the following: 2 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE BALAJI MEDAMALLI WRIT PETITION NO: 4250/2023 ORDER: This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: “…to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the resolution dated 29.09.2022 issued implementing G.O.Rt.No110 dated 06.07.2022 as illegal and ultra vires to Articles 14 and 300-A of the Constitution of India, besides being in violation of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies Act, 2008 and Doctrine of principles of natural justice, promissory estoppel and consequently direct the respondents to consider the representations dated 24.12.2022, 27.12.2022 and fix the consolidated pay scales on par with the MHRD/ UGC 7th CPC i.e 57,700 plus 31percent existing DA and additional incentives as per the Governing Council's Resolutions and promises …” 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Assistant Government Pleader for respondent No.1 and learned Standing Counsel for RGUKT for respondent Nos.2 to 5. 3. On perusal of the material placed on record, it seems that, subsequent to the filing of the writ petition, the respondent University had submitted a proposal to the Government duly taking a decision by governing a council meeting on 28.03.2025 suggesting a proposal for enhancement of the salary of the contract Assistant Professors recruited in institutes such as IITs, NITs, and Central Universities during the years 2010-2014, as per the 7th pay scale and the existing D.A and the same was referred to the Government for approval. 3 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the said proposal is pending for consideration before the Government and requested that a direction be issued to the Government to consider and pass appropriate orders on the recommendation of the University, as forwarded vide proceedings dated 15.04.2025, at the earliest. 5. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the 1st respondent is directed to take appropriate action on the proposal submitted by the University vide proceedings dated 15.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
