JUSTICE YARENJUNGLA LONGKUMER ORDER Date : 01-06-2026 The instant application has been filed praying for impleadment of Shri Zarenthung Ezung, IAS Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, PHED as respondent No.4 in COP(C) 30/2025. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner Ms. Atsula Kips. It is stated by the applicant/petitioner that the connected COP(C)30/2025 is pending before this Court. During the pendency of the said contempt petition, the respondent No.2 Shri Mhonbemo Patton, who was the then Secretary of PHED has been transferred and new incumbent i.e Shri Zarenthung Ezung, IAS has taken over the said post. It has therefore become necessary to implead the new incumbent, Secretary of the Department of PHED as respondent No.4. Accordingly, it is prayed that the application may be allowed and Shri Zarenthung Ezung, IAS may be impleaded as respondent No.4 in COP(C)30/2025. I have considered the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the pleadings. The instant application is allowed and the petitioner shall take steps to file the amended cause title incorporating the name of Shri Zarenthung Ezung, IAS as Secretary PHED as respondent No.4 in COP(C) 30/2025. The amended cause title Page No.# 3/3 shall be filed within a period of one week from today. The petitioner shall also take steps on the newly impleaded respondent No.4 by speed post as well as by usual process and also by way of Dasti within one week from today. The I.A. is disposed of.
