The petitioner has filed this petition seeking the following reliefs:- “10.1 That, this Hoin'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to grant compassionate appointment to the petitioner in the respondent department in lieu of her father, who died during the service period. 10.2 That, the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief, as it may deem-fit and appropriate.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the father of the petitioner, who was working in the post of Foreman under the respondents, died in harness on 5.7.2012. He would contend that the mother of the petitioner had died prior to the death of his father. He would contend that the petitioner applied for compassionate appointment on 5.7.2022 but till date, no decision has been taken. 3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the respondents would submit that till date, the petitioner has not applied for grant of compassionate appointment, and therefore, no decision has been taken in this regard. 4. Heard. 5. Taking into consideration the above-discussed facts, this petition is disposed of reserving liberty in favour of the petitioner to submit an application for grant of dependent employment within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondent authorities shall decide it strictly in accordance with the prevailing policy within a further period of 90 days. 3 6. With the aforesaid observation(s), this petition is disposed of.
