Agrawal, Special P.P. ------ 02/20.04.2026 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P for the State. 2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Itki P.S. Case No. 62 of 2025, registered for the offence under Sections 317(5), 3(5) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Section 11(i) of Protection of Cruelty to Animal Act and Section 12 (i)(ii)(iiii) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Protection of Slaughter Act pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Ranchi. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner’s name has come only on suspicion. He further submits that the petitioner has nothing to do with the bovine animals and the petitioner is neither the owner nor the driver of the pick-up vans. He next submits that vague allegation is made against the petitioner that he will take over the bovine animals. He also submits that the petitioner is having no criminal antecedent as disclosed in para 10 of the petition and the owners-cum-drivers have already been granted anticipatory bail in A.B.A. No.1559 of 2026. 4. Learned Special P.P. appearing for the State has opposed the prayer and submits that the allegations are there and the petitioner was supposed to receive the bovine animals. 5.
