Mr.S.Jayachandran, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for the sole respondent. If the document were to be presented or re-presented, as the case may be, he submits that the document would be registered or a speaking order of refusal would be issued within two weeks. 3. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms: 3.1 The petitioner shall present or re-present the settlement deed before the registering officer within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; 3.2 Within two weeks therefrom, subject to fulfillment of other requirements relating to registration, the registering officer shall register the document or issue a speaking order of refusal in accordance with Section 71 of the Registration Act, 1908.
