P. ------ Order No.02 / Dated : 11.03.2026. Heard both the sides. This bail application has been filed on behalf of Md. Sukhal @ Majud who is in custody since 04.12.2025 in connection with Torpa P.S. Case No. 18 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 325, 317(5), 299, 111, 3(5) and 61(2) of the BNS, 2023 and Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and Section 12(i) (ii) (iii) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter) Act, 2005 pending in the Court of SDJM, Khunti, is pressed into motion. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that he was not involved in the transportation of the 32 cattle which were seized from the truck bearing registration no. CG04MP-4783. The only material against him is confessional statement of co-accused. Similarly situated co-accused persons has already been granted bail by Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in BA. No. 2887 of 2025. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the prayer for bail. Under the circumstances, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
