IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI W.P. (Cr.) No. 149 of 2026 ------- Punam Devi …... …. Petitioner (s) Versus The State of Jharkhand & Ors. .…. …. Respondents -------- CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY -------- For the Petitioner (s) : Mr. Chandra Shekhar Pandey, Advocate Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Advocate Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Advocate For the State : A.C to AAG-III -------- 03/ Dated 20.04.2026 Heard Mr. Chandra Shekhar Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.C to AAG-III. In this writ application, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to get Pathalgadda P.S. Case No. 54 of 2025 investigated by a separate independent Agency. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the allegations against the son of the petitioner are false. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the son of the petitioner is a student, who have obtained First Division in the Matriculation Examination in the year, 2025. Learned AC to AAG-III submitted that on completion of investigation, the chargesheet has been submitted against the petitioner and the son of the petitioner as well. Regard being had to the fact that no such exceptional circumstances have been enumerated by the learned counsel for the petitioner so as to entrust the investigation to an independent agency, coupled with the fact that the chargesheet has been submitted, indicating that the son of the petitioner is an accused, I am not inclined to entertain this writ application, which stands disposed of.
