The instant habeas corpus petition has been filed on behalf of the corpus Ms. Ronak Dhiman by Rahul Kumar as next friend.

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

According to Rahul Kumar, he and the corpus both are major; they married on 13.04.2026 at Prachin Shiv Mandir, Paniyala Road, Roorkee, District Haridwar, and had also applied for the registration of their marriage, and after applying for registration, they both went to their respective homes, as agreed. But, thereafter, the respondent no.4 has detained the corpus Ms. Ronak Dhiman. Hence, the petition.

This Court required the concerned police station to produce the corpus before the Court.

Today, S.I. Karuna Raunkly produced the corpus Ms. Ronak Dhiman before the Court. The Court interacted with Ms. Ronak Dhiman. She has stated that she is willingly staying with her parents; she does not want to go with Rahul Kumar. According to her, initially, she had made up her mind to be with Rahul Kumar, but, subsequently, she came to know some more

facts about Rahul Kumar. Therefore, she is not willing to join the company of Rahul Kumar. According to the corpus Ms. Ronak Dhiman, her date of birth is 17.03.2006. She is major.

The corpus Ms. Ronak Dhiman is free to stay wherever she wants to. The corpus has expressed to stay with her parents. Therefore, no directions need to be passed in the matter.

The habeas corpus petition, as such, stands
disposed of, accordingly.
