Agarwal, Advocate ---- 2/20.04.2026 Heard learned counsels for petitioner and for State. 2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with CID Ranchi P.S. Case No. 12 of 2024, registered under sections 414, 406, 419, 420, 467, 468, 469, 471 of I.P.C. and 63 of Copy Right Act and 8 (C)/21(C) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985, pending in the Court of learned Judicial Commissioner at Ranchi. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. She further submits that the allegations are made against the petitioner that the petitioner has taken godown on rent wherefrom Codeine Phosphate containing 200 mg each in 100 ml and phensedyl cough syrup in 24560 of bottles have been recovered. She next submits that apart from that, there is no allegation against the petitioner and on these 2026:JHHC:11500 2 grounds, she submits that the petitioner may kindly be provided privilege of anticipatory bail. 4. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that the petitioner has taken the said godown on rent and from that godown itself Codeine Phosphate containing 200 mg each in 100 ml and phensedyl cough syrup in 24560 of bottles have been recovered which is of commercial quantity in the light of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, and in view of that the anticipatory bail of the petitioner may kindly be rejected. He further submits that anticipatory bail of the co-accused has already been rejected by this Court in ABA No.910 of 2026. 5. In the F.I.R, it is alleged that the said godown was taken on rent by the petitioner wherefrom Codeine Phosphate containing 200 mg each in 100 ml and phensedyl cough syrup in 24560 bottles have been recovered which is of commercial quantity in the light of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, and in the attending facts and circumstances of the present case, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and hence, this anticipatory bail application being A.B.A. No.1781 of 2026 is, hereby, dismissed.
