Sharma, learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents to complete the widening work of link road, namely Lunapani via Mandal Gehra Arthi to Sanimohri, Tehsil Balh, District Mandi, within a time bound manner. According to the petitioner, the existing Lunapani-Sanimohri road is narrow, posing danger to the 1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 pedestrians as also to the motor vehicles. Besides this, there is no space for roadside culvert and rainwater flows onto the road. The road is used by the villagers as also the students apart from the vehicles. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents have already acquired the land for widening the road in question, but the execution of widening work has not been carried out. It was further pointed out that affected villagers including the petitioners have represented to the concerned authorities umpteenth number of times including by making representations at Annexures P-3 dated 05.10.2023 and P-4 dated 02.02.2024, followed by a legal notice issued on 20.03.2025 (Annexure P-5), however, no response was received by the petitioner. The condition of the road remains miserable. Learned counsel further submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied in case respondent No.4/ competent authority is directed to look into the matter and take appropriate call for initiating the road widening work in accordance with law within a time bound schedule. Learned Additional Advocate General submits that the respondents are not averse to examine the case of the 3 petitioner for widening of the road in question within four corners of law. 4. In view of above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.4/competent authority to examine the grievance of the petitioner as highlighted in the above-mentioned representations & legal notice and take appropriate call in the matter in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, so that grievances of the petitioner and affected villagers are redressed.
