The case of the petitioners is that they were employed in the respondent Transport Corporation and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. However, the terminal benefits have been settled to the petitioners belatedly and the interest component has not been paid for the delayed period. In view of the same, the petitioners submitted representations to the respondents to pay interest for the delayed period. Since the said representations were not considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Transport Corporation would fairly submit that in view of the similar order passed by this Court in W.P.No.20622 of 2025, they are willing to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of the eligible and admissible amount. 4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides. 5.
