VADAPALLI RAMESH The Court made the following: 2 SRK, J CC(AT) No.219 of 2023 O R D E R This Contempt Case is filed under Sections 10 to 12 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Section 17 of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985, seeking to punish the respondents herein for willful disobedience to the orders of the Tribunal in O.A.No.2055 of 2018 dated 19.09.2018. 2. On the earlier occasions, when the matter was taken for hearing, it was brought to the notice of this Court that the learned counsel for the petitioner had passed away. Pursuant thereto, this Court directed the Registry to issue notice to the petitioner. In compliance with the said direction, the Registry issued notice to the petitioner, and the same was duly served. Despite service of notice, the petitioner has not chosen to engage any counsel to prosecute the case. Thereafter, the matter was adjourned on several occasions. In view of the petitioner's continued absence, the case was posted under the caption "for dismissal." Even today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. It is evident that the petitioner is not evincing any interest in engaging counsel or prosecuting the matter. 3. In view of the above, the Contempt Case is dismissed for non-prosecution.
