JUSTICE P SREE SUDHA ORAL ORDER Though this matter has come up for admission, with consent of learned counsel for the parties, the same is taken up for final hearing and disposed of by this order. 2. This petition is filed by wife for transfer of divorce petition in M.C.No.188/2025 filed by husband for divorce pending before the file of Prl. Senior Civil Judge and JMFC, KGF at KGF, Kolar to the court of Prl. Senior civil Judge and JMFC, Kolar, Anekal. 3. Heard the arguments of the learned counsel for petitioner. Learned counsel for respondent remained absent. 4. Both the appellant and respondent are presently employed in Bangalore as Software Engineers. Despite this, a request has been made to transfer the proceedings to Anekal. It is relevant to note that Anekal is situated - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16519 CP No. 37 of 2026 within the vicinity of Bangalore, at a distance of approximately 30 kilometers, 5. The marriage between the petitioner and the respondent was solemnized in the year 2017, and out of the said wedlock, they have been blessed with a child in the year 2022, who is presently aged about 3 years. 6. Initially, the wife lodged a criminal complaint against the family members of the respondent in Crime No.73/2025 dated 10.03.2025. 7. Though the respondent was duly served with notice and had engaged counsel, he failed to appear before the Court and did not file any objections. Therefore, upon considering the arguments of the learned counsel for appellant, this Court deems it appropriate to transfer M.C. No.188/2025 from the Court of the Principal Senior Civil Judge, KGF, to the Court of the Principal Civil Judge and JMFC at Anekal, particularly in view of the fact that both parties are residing and working in Bangalore. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:16519 CP No. 37 of 2026 Accordingly, this petition is allowed.
