By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs:- “10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call the entire records from the respondents. Brief facts of the case, is that, the petitioner belongs to the Scheduled Caste community “Jatav,” and with a view to enabling his children to avail the benefits of caste status in the State of Chhattisgarh, he submitted online applications bearing Nos. 0704011801004032 and 0704011801004033 before the competent authority for issuance of caste certificate, namely the S.D.O. (Revenue), Raipur District, Raipur, on 30.07.2018; however, the said applications were rejected by the respondent competent authority vide transaction description dated 01.04.2019. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner approached the 3 Hon’ble High Court by filing WPC No. 4519 of 2019, wherein an order came to be passed on 10.12.2019, but despite the said order, the respondent authority failed to act in accordance with the directions of the Hon’ble Court and instead proceeded to pass an invalid and unsustainable order in February, 2020, compelling the petitioner to file the present petition seeking expeditious and proper compliance of the order dated 10.12.2019 passed in WPC No. 4519 of 2019. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste “Jatav,” and petitioner children's wants to get the benefit of caste in the Chhattisgarh, the petitioner preferred online applications No. 0704011801004032 and 0704011801004033 before competent caste certificate issuing authority S.D.O. (Revenue) Raipur district Raipur on 30/7/2018. Therefore he prays for a direction to decide the application which is pending before the SDO( R) dated 30/7/2018. 4. Learned counsel for respondent/State submits that in view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for petitioner seeking direction to respondent-authorities to consider the pending application, she is having no objection to the limited prayer and his pending online application will be decided in accordance with law. 5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also in 4 light of circular dated 10.10.2022 passed by the State Government in respect of the resident of local bodies. According to petitioner, the father of the petitioner was employee of Central Government and the petitioner is working in the Postal Department, Central Government Office and posted in the Raipur I find it appropriate to dispose of the same at this stage directing the respondent No. 2 to decide the online applications No. 0704011801004032 and 0704011801004033 dated 30.7.2018 of the petitioner in accordance with law/rules/regulations as expeditiously as possible in an objective manner within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 7. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed anything on the merits of the case. 8. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
