By way of this petition, the petitioner has sought the following relief(s):- SIDDHANT TAMRAKAR Digitally signed by SIDDHANT TAMRAKAR Date: 2026.04.16 17:36:43 +0530 2 “10.1 That the Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to order Respondents to issue recommendations of candidates for out of turn promotion of those who have participated and fought bravely, in naxal encounter occurred on 10/08/2020 in Matenga, 10.2 Any other relief which this Hon'ble Court may deem and proper in the present circumstances of the case.” 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that at the relevant time, the petitioner was posted at Special Task Force, Headquarters Baghera, Durg, District Durg. He would submit that the petitioner was sent as a part of search team, where he participated in Naxal operation on 10.08.2020 at Matenga village. He would submit that Sanha report and Roznamcha dated 11.08.2020 would reveal that the petitioner participated in said operation. It is argued that an FIR was also registered against Naxals. He would submit that according to Police Regulation, the petitioner is entitled for out of turn promotion. He would submit that a representation was made by the petitioner on 09.04.2021 before the Superintendent of Police, District Kanker, but same has not been decided yet. He would contend that a direction may be issued to the respondent authority to consider the representation in accordance with the Police Regulation within stipulated time. 6. On the other hand, Mr. Pandey would oppose. 7. Heard. 8. Taking into consideration the submissions advanced by Mr. Sharma, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Kanker to decide the pending representation expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months. 3 9.
