Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that he was misled by the private respondents while purchasing a property which was registered on 13th April, 2023 which led the petitioner to lodge a complaint before the concerned police authorities on 11th February, 2026. 3. Prayer is made on behalf of the petitioner thereby directing the concerned police authorities to take necessary steps considering the complaint dated 11th February, 2026. 4. Learned advocate representing the respondent nos.4 to 12 disputed the submission made on behalf of the petitioner and it is submitted that Title Suit No.253/22 is pending before the learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), Lalbagh, Murshidabad and next date is fixed on 22nd April, 2026. 5. A communication dated 20th March, 2026 of the Officer-in-Charge, Lalgola Police Station, Murshidabad is filed by the learned advocate for the State and same is taken on record. Copy of the communication dated 20th March, 2026 is made over to the learned advocates representing the petitioner and private respondents. 6. It is disclosed in the said communication that litigation is pending before the civil court. However, to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale a prosecution being Lalgola PS NCR No.307/26 dated 21st February, 2026 under Sections 126/135(3) of BNSS was submitted. 7. Police authority is not the appropriate authority to decide inter se right of the parties over the property in question. 8. Petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the appropriate forum in pursuit of remedy. 9. However, concerned police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale. 10. The writ petition stands disposed of. 11. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.) 2 3
