IN THE HIGH COURT OF ANDHRA PRADESH AT AMARAVATI
CONTEMPT CASE NO: 817 of 2026 Bench Sr.No:-24 [3506]
Kollipara Srinivas and others ...Petitioner(s) Vs. Sri Peeyush Kumar, IAS and others ...Contemnor(s) ********** Advocate for Petitioners:
SRI M. R. TAGORE Advocate(s) for Contemnor(s):
SRI G RAJU, SRI NAGARAJU PULLAGURA
CORAM : SRI JUSTICE CHALLA GUNARANJAN DATE : 17th April 2026
JUDGMENT:
Learned counsel for petitioners states that despite orders of this Court, dated 05.03.2025, directing respondents 1 to 3 in the writ petition to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioners’ representation, dated 28.11.2024, the same has not been complied with. However, it is stated that the 4th respondent in the writ petition indeed has passed orders, dated 05.01.2026, rejecting the case of the petitioners, which, in turn, referred to similar order, dated 18.10.2024, passed in W.P.No.5009 of 2021.
2. This Court is of the opinion that inasmuch as the Officer who passed the order, dated 05.01.2026, is also a party respondent in the
2 writ petition, the direction of this Court to consider and pass appropriate orders on petitioners’ representation stands in a way complied with and therefore, the Contempt Case stands closed. However, petitioners are granted liberty to lay challenge to aforesaid order, dated 05.01.2026, in case, if they are so advised. No order as to costs.
As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending consideration, if any, in this case shall stand closed.
