The earlier order also directed the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail after the evidence of the seizure list witnesses is over. Having considered the present state of affairs and the engagement of judicial officers in administrative work, I am of the opinion that, some space must be given to the prosecution to complete its case, as such, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. 2 However, as charges have already been framed, the learned trial court would give priority for examination of the seizure list witnesses. The petitioner would approach this court after the seizure list witnesses are examined preferably within a period of three months from the next date fixed before the learned trial court. Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 511 of 2026 is dismissed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
