No. 1035 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 2.The petitioner contends that she submitted a representation on 03.03.2026 to the respondent police, stating that Murugan, Ramachandran, Venkatesan, Ellamal, and certain land brokers have conspired to damage her property and attempt to remove its fencing. The petitioner purchased the subject property from one Vinayagamoorthy, and the patta has since been transferred to her name (Patta No. 3771). Despite this, the aforementioned persons, acting with ulterior motives and taking the law into their own hands, have been threatening the petitioner and attempting to encroach upon her property to extort money. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner’s complaint was received by the 2nd respondent and is currently pending enquiry in C.No. U4/13353092/2026. The counter- petitioners (Murugan, Ramachandran, Venkatesan, and Ellamal) have been summoned for enquiry. The petitioner is also required to participate in the enquiry and submit the relevant documents. He further stated that appropriate action would be taken against any offenders and the entire process would be completed within two months. 4.Considered the rival submissions and perused the materials available on record. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP Crl. No. 1035 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 5.Considering the facts and circumstances, the respondents are directed to conduct an enquiry based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.03.2026. If the enquiry reveals a genuine threat to the life of the petitioner or a clear attempt at forcible dispossession/criminal trespass, the respondent police shall provide necessary protection and take action against the offenders in accordance with the law. The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the enquiry and produce all necessary title documents and the patta before the respondent police. The respondents shall complete the entire process and pass appropriate orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above directions, this petition is disposed of.
