Mr. Bhuwan Bhatt, learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3-Nagar Panchayat Doiwala now Nagar Palika Doiwala. Hon’ble Pankaj Purohit, J. (Oral) Petitioner is a Class-III employee with respondent-Nagar Palika. He is working with the said department for almost 18 years and is being paid a very meager amount, whereas, the counterparts of petitioner, who are discharging the same duties are being paid regular pay scale i.e. Rs.5200-Rs.20200 with Grade Pay Rs.2000/- per month. He has made representation to Executive Officer/Chairman, Nagar Palika Doiwala, District Dehradun, which is annexed as Annexure No.2 to the writ petition. The said representation is still pending consideration. Thus, petitioner is before this Court for grant of minimum of pay-scale. 2. Learned counsel for petitioner made an innocuous prayer that the ends of justice would be met, if Competent Authority is directed to take a decision on the aforesaid representation moved by petitioner within a stipulated time. 2026:UHC:4807 2 3. Learned State Counsel and learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 have no objection if such a direction be issued to decide the petitioner’s representation. 4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. Competent Authority is directed to consider and decide the representation moved by petitioner, which is annexed as Annexure No.2 to the writ petition, within a period of eight weeks’ from the date of production of certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
